Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL MASON (nee CONDON) (OTLEY) 1918 - 2006 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of (Alyce) Muriel on Friday, May 12, 2006 at the Victoria General Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Muriel was born on April 2, 1918 in Macrorie, SK. She grew up on the family farm, and moved to Saskatoon to continue her education. Mom pursued many careers throughout her life taking the most pride in becoming a nurse. She had a particular love of caring for the elderly, putting the needs of others before her own. In recent years she volunteered at Golden Links Personal Care Home. Mom was an avid traveller enjoying many winters in Texas. It was during these years that she developed many lifelong friendships with her fellow snowbirds. Mom loved music, dancing, playing the piano, singing in the choir and was an avid golfer. Muriel was predeceased by her parents, Nettie and Jack Condon, brothers, Don (Marge), Cecil (Lillian), Tom (Vivian), sister Loreen, sister- in-law Margie, brother-in-law Len, and daughter-in-law Helen. Muriel is survived by her children, Wayne (Beverley), Ron, Loreen (Peter), and Patty (Lawrence), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Randy (Jackie, Kyler, Kalyn), Brad (Genevieve), Richard (Cara-Lynn, Arden, Ava, Anais), Kristen (Kyle, Ewan, Abigale), Janine (Michael), Susan and Cameron. She is also survived by her brothers, Lyndal, Maurice (Mary) Condon and sister-in- law Betty Aitkenhead. She will be dearly missed by her special friend Len Harpman. The family would like to acknowledge Gordon Otley, Fred Mason and Ian Gray. We appreciate the support of Mom's family and friends during her sudden illness. The family would also like to thank the Victoria General Hospital Emergency Department and 5th Floor medical staff, especially Elvira, Michelle, Trevor, Don, Janet and Dr. Pacin. Memorial service will be held at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church (Stafford and Corydon) on Monday, May 15 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. An Old Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
