Jean is survived by her daughters, Karen (John) and Cheryl (Terry); son Grant (Irene); grandchildren, Jayson, Jenniffer, Brett, Karlynne; brother Jack (Margaret) Stott; many nieces and nephews. Jean was born February 4, 1920 and grew up on a farm outside of Niverville. Mum was an accomplished athlete and pitched for local teams. She married Dad in 1953 and they moved to Winnipeg. They spent many years in St. Vital raising their family. Mum and Dad spent summers in their trailer at several campgrounds in southern Manitoba. After Dad retired they enjoyed several trips out west in the van. Mum enjoyed her time at home whether it was gardening or knitting. Her home was always open to family and friends. Mum could do anything, she would just roll up her sleeves and get it done. She had a practical outlook on life and could deal with any situation that arrived. A piece of her lives on in all of us.
