MYRTLE BELL BARRON (nee SWITZER) 1919 2006 On Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre, Myrtle passed away at 86 years of age. Left to love and cherish her memory are her children, Elaine, Morley and Connie (Garry); grandchildren, Tammy, Colleen (Cory), Stacey (Kori) and Candace; great-grandsons, Quinn and Ethan; sisters, Dorothy Camire, Madeline Millings (Orville); her in-laws, Betty Switzer, Eddie and Anne Barron, Albertine Nanosky and many nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Elie Barron; her parents, Margaret and William Switzer and siblings, Cecile, Wesley and Lottie. Myrtle was born and raised in Fisherton, MB. She met her husband Elie and was married on June 9, 1941. Their two children, Elaine and Morley, were born in Fisherton and then the family moved to Winnipeg, where their third child, Connie, was born. In their later years, Myrtle and Elie moved to Balmoral, MB, where they enjoyed their retirement years. Myrtle moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to her children, grandchildren and great-grandsons. Her proudest moments were seeing her granddaughters graduate and getting to watch her great-grandsons grow. The family would like to take this time to say a special thank you to her nephew and niece, Victor and Began Switzer for the love and support that they gave her. She loved them both dearly. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Badenherst, Dr. Nguyen, all the nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. At her request, cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 17, at 11:00 am at the Fisher Funeral Home, in Fisher Branch, MB. Interment to follow at the Fisherton Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Ukrainian National Home in Fisher Branch, MB. Wesley Barratt will be officiating.
