WALTER ANDERSON October 24, 1932 - May 13, 2006 Peacefully on May 13, 2006 at the Lakeshore Personal Care Home in Ashern, Walter Anderson of Little Saskatchewan First Nation passed away with his family by his side. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Eileen, Alice (John) Thompson, Pearl (Leslie) Beardy, Freda (Isaac) Sinclair, Darlene Anderson (friend Greg) and Ruby (Greg) Traverse; grandson John Anderson whom he raised like his own; his brothers, Wilfred (Yvonne), Hebron (Delma) and Ernest (Susan); his sisters, Beatrice Beardy, Olive Marsden, Melva Traverse, Irene (Terry) Parenteau and Muriel (Melvin) Woodford; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, also numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Ellen Anderson; his son Orville Anderson; daughter Doreen Anderson; his grandson Orville Dean Anderson whom he raised like his own; grandson Murray Traverse; granddaughter Joan Anderson; also his parents, Florence and Henry G. Anderson; brother Thomas Anderson; sisters, Hazel Violet Anderson, Mary Ida Anderson, Linda Anderson and Susan Sumner; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Beardy, Raymond Sumner Sr., Victor Traverse and Angus Sumner; sisters-in-law, Alice Woodhouse, Mary Jane Hall and Martha Canard; mother and father-in-law, Ida and John Sumner. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, May 17 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Fairford Pentecostal Church, Fairford, MB, with Gerald Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Saskatchewan Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be his nephews, Raymond Sumner Jr., David Beardy, Wilfred Marsden, Bob Anderson, Lienus Traverse and Michael Anderson. The Honorary Pallbearers will be Walters daughters, Eileen, Alice, Pearl, Freda, Darlene and Ruby. The Crossbearer will be his grandson Aaron Traverse.
