Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNETTIE MARCHUK (nee OBERTANIEC) June 20, 1915 - May 15, 2006 With great sorrow we announce the passing of Nettie Marchuk on May 15, 2006 at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB. A spirited lady that will be dearly remembered by daughter June (Dennis) Jensen of Calgary, AB; granddaughter Terri Raymond of Mount Albert, ON; son Eddie (Jolly) Marchuk of Selkirk, MB and grandson John Marchuk of Winnipeg, MB. Nettie is predeceased by her husband David in 1987, son Ronald in 1975 and her siblings Anne, Kay, Walter, Jean, John and Helen. She was born in Fraserwood, MB to Nickolas and Michelina Obertaniec in 1915. In 1935 Nettie married David Marchuk and moved to the family farm in the Meleb area. During retirement in Gimli, her greatest wish was to visit the farm she so loved, her home for 50 years. Our thank you to Dr. R. C. Patel and to the staff and nurses at Betel Home who so lovingly cared for her during the past several years. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 20, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli with Fr. Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Rembrandt, MB. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
