ANYU (ANNA) BOEHM Peacefully on May 13, 2006 our beloved Anyu passed away at Posiedon Care Center at the age of 89. She was predeceased by her husband, John on September 10, 1978. Anyu was born April 1, 1917 in Hungary. She, along with her husband, John and son, Frank immigrated to Canada during the Hungarian Revolution in 1957. Arriving in Winnipeg, Anyu made it her home for the following 48 years. Shortly after arriving in Winnipeg she was employed by the Manitoba Vegetable Marketing Board for 22 years until her retirement. Anyu was very devoted to her family, who will dearly miss their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered for love of family, friends, cooking Hungarian food and gardening. Anyu is survived by her sons, Frank (Linda), Bill (Barbara); grandchildren, Michael (Anne-Barbara), James (Teresa), Jonathan, Lisa, Debbie, John, and Dawn, and great-grandson Thomas. Also, she will be remembered by Kimberly (Glenn), their children Caroline, Kaitlin, and Anthony. She will also be missed by her long time best friend, Julianna Karagity. The Boehm family would like to express their deep thanks to the wonderful staff at Poseidon Care Center for their care, and kindness, to Anna and compassion at our time of need. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 1:00 p.m., at St. Ignatius Church, Corydon and Stafford, with Fr. Peter Monty, S.J. officiating.   • Frank and Linda, So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. We appreciate your situation as Sue's Mom passed away two weeks ago. One can never really be prepared but we have lots of fond memories to get us over the difficult times ahead. Take care.
