HOWARD RUSSELL WHITE Peacefully, after a brief illness on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 Howard passed away at the age of 84 years. Howard will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Florence; sons, Pat (Barb) McCracken, Brian (Cecylia) McCracken; and daughters, Gail (Dan) Kluk, Susie (Andrew) Zbrog, Sandra White, Charlotte Smith, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Born in London, ON April 24, 1922. Howard joined the army as a young man . After his time in the army he eventually moved to Winnipeg, working most of his life as an auto mechanic. After moving to St. Andrews, Howard worked as a Commissionaire at Lower Fort Gary until his retirement. Howard was a patient man and a great listener. He spent much of his time enjoying many hobbies, most of which involved tinkering with a multitude of tools and small engines. He loved the hours spent fixing neighbours, friends and family lawnmowers and any other project that turned up at his gate. Howard enjoyed many things in life, but none more than being with his wife and best friend Florence, they were inseparable. A kind, soft spoken man, his gentle presence will be missed. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. Interment to follow at St. Clements Churchyard. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Danny, Steven, Paul, Shaun, Joseph and John. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
