Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOLORES FAE ARMSTRONG (nee BULLOCK) It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Dolores on May 18, 2006 at Beacon Hill Lodge at the age of 74. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold in January of 2005. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Barbara with her husband Don; her son Scott along with his wife Carole and their children, Anne and Tom; her relatives in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as many friends in Winnipeg. Dolores was born on April 27, 1932 in Lethbridge, AB where she grew up and attended school. Her family moved to Vancouver where she met Arnold at English Bay while they were teenagers. Their love blossomed and they were married on December 3, 1955 in Vancouver. Their children, Barbara and Scott were born there and the family later moved to Winnipeg. Mom worked in grocery stores and bakeries most of her life. While employed at Dominion, she was affectionately known to the children as the Cookie Lady . She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed camping, playing bingo with Barbara and watching Scott play sports. In their earlier years, Mom and Dad were enthusiastic dancers and demonstrated their abilities at their children's weddings. They were able to do some traveling in their retirement years and really enjoyed these trips together in their motor home. As a loving wife and mother, Mom knew when something was on our minds and always made time for us. At her request, cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sun Room on the 2nd floor at Beacon Hill Lodge, 190 Fort St. The family would like to thank the staff at Beacon Hill Lodge for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
