Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERA NANCY FABYAN Vera Nancy Fabyan (née Voros) passed away peacefully in her 85th year on December 20, 2005 at Glacier View Lodge in , BC. Born in Wainright, AB on March 23, 1920, she leaves her two sisters Margaret Fitzgerald and Rose Panchysyn. After serving in the armed forces during the Second World War, Vera married Gordon Eddison McIlroy in Edmonton, AB on November 27, 1947. She will be greatly missed by her four children: Vera Nancy, James Peter, Mary Aileen and Gordon Eddison McIlroy, whom she lovingly raised in Toronto and London, ON and Winnipeg, MB. Her professional career included serving in the military, owning an adult and child care agency, and working for 15 years at Winnipeg's Grace Hospital. Throughout her life, Vera had a remarkable sense of civic duty and she contributed to her community with devotion and compassion. Her volunteer work comprised many causes and organizations, including politics, education, and Deer Lodge Hospital. Her family deeply appreciates the expert and loving care she received from all of the staff at Glacier View Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vera's memory may be made to The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Vera's ashes will be interred at Winnipeg's Brookside Cemetery on Friday, June 9, 2006. To enable her friends and family to join together to celebrate her life, a reception will be held in Winnipeg at the Fort Garry Hotel on Saturday, June 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To R.S.V.P., please call (204) 475-4069 by Thursday, June 8.
