KENNETH IAN BALDWIN March 9, 1931 May 19, 2006 Peacefully, on Friday, May 19, 2006, Kenneth Ian passed away at the age of 75 years. Ken is survived by his loving wife Doris, of 55 years of marriage; his children, Dan (Joan), Debra (Yves), Dawn (Roy), Dale (Georges); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren and their extended families. He is also survived by two sisters, Yvonne (Larry) Dillon, BC and Daryl (Jack) Luty, North Battleford; his aunts, Sig Stewart, Mary Stewart and numerous other relatives. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Ken and Elva and a brother Stuart. In 1986, Ken retired after a 35 year career with the C.N.R. which spanned Saskatoon, Thunder Bay and Winnipeg. He was a Mr. Fix-it , a history buff, crossword enthusiast, enjoyed curling and golfing; and was a member at Southwood for a number of years. The past 13 years, Ken had enjoyed being a snowbird' with Doris in Mesa, AZ. He was a proud parent and grandfather and he relished in the accomplishments of each of his offspring. Ken faced adversity with courage and determination and his battle with cancer was well fought. In accordance with Ken's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, but please join the family in a celebration of his life for coffee at the Can-ad Inn, Pembina Highway on Tuesday, May 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Our family would like to thank family and friends for their support, especially Norma and Gil, Dr. Werier and CancerCare at the Health Sciences Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109 - 675 McDermott Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
