Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife Darlene; his three daughters, Rhonda (Carl), Kelly and Kristie (Joel); his grandchildren, which were his pride and joy, Tyson, Ryan, Kaitlyn and Jeremy. He will also be remembered by his mother Marge Bush; brother Brian (Carol); sisters, Lex (Gerry), Edie, Cathy (Robert) and Jackie (Wayne); and also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dwight touched the lives of many, young and old alike, which he treasured a very special relationship with each. Dwight was born and raised in Beausejour, MB. In 1975, he married the love of his life and his very best friend, Darlene. Dwight was blessed with three wonderful daughters, of which he was ever so proud. Dwight began his working career in construction. He later became the icemaker at the Beausejour Curling Club and at the same time drove school bus and fuel trucks. He then found a passion for truck driving with the most recent being employed by Veitch Truck Lines in Selkirk. Not only did he excel in the work he did, but he also acquired a special friendship with his employers, Ken and Ted and co-worker Grant. Dwight was always eager and anxiously awaiting to start winter roads with his trucking buddies, telling many tales of his excursions. Winter roads even went to the extent of portable ovens and potluck dinners. Dwight's greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a family man who built a very strong foundation. Dwight enjoyed going for drives, playing cards, gambling and most of all, playing, teasing and laughing with his grandkids. Times we have shared will fill our hearts. Your smile and laugh will always be remembered and the strength and optimism you demonstrated will never be forgotten. The love you have shown will remain forever. The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Homik and the nurses of Grace Hospital for the compassionate care extended to Dwight. Also, thank you to Dr. Zeiler and the nurses of the Beausejour Hospital. According to Dwight's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brokenhead River Recreational Complex, 320 Veterans Lane, Beausejour, MB with Pastor Mark Koenker officiating.
