LUCIEN DUFAULT Lucien Albert Joseph Dufault of Ile Des Chênes Manitoba, passed away May 22, 2006 at the Grace Hospital with his family at his side. He struggled the past 14 years with arthritis and heart disease. Lucien is survived by his beloved wife Brenda (nee Klaudt) and his daughters Naomi (Steve) Nelson and Tonia Dufault. Also surviving are brothers Albert (Terry), Louis, Jules (Evelyn); and sisters Juliette (Dave), Yvonne and Denise; sister-in-law Lynn Dufault; father-in-law John Klaudt; brothers-in-law Art and Chuck Klaudt; brothers and sisters-in-law Linda and Lloyd Spencer, Dave and Bonnie Klaudt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and cousins and special friends Aime and Connie and Ruben and Lyse. Lucien was predeceased by his father Narcisse and mother Marie, brothers Emile, Rosaire, Joseph and infant sister Thérèse, brothers-in-law Mickey Morin and Julien LeBlanc; sister-in-law Annabelle O'Toole and mother-in-law Clara Klaudt. Lucien was born July 26, 1949 in Watson, Saskatchewan and grew up on the farm in St. Front Saskatchewan. He started his working career at age 17 in Thompson, Manitoba. He moved to Alberta where he met and married Brenda and later moved to Saskatchewan. Lucien spent his working career of 40 years as a crane operator, working mainly for Litz and Sterling Cranes, with the most recent six years spent working in Fort McMurray. Lucien was an avid member of the Operating Engineers (Local 987 in Manitoba) and (Local 955 in Alberta). He will be long remembered by his many friends and co-workers as the Outspoken Frenchman and for his sense of humour. In 1986 he moved the family to Ile Des Chênes. Lucien was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid community member and a strong family man. He had a strong relationship with his wife Brenda and was proud of his two girls. There was nothing Lucien wouldn't do for his family. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 27 at Notre Dame de la Miséricorde Church in Ile Des Chênes, Manitoba at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to the Arthritis Association, 105-386 Broadway Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R6 or The Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
