WILLIAM HORNER It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather William (Bill) peacefully on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He leaves to mourn, wife May; daughter Lori Lanthier and her daughter Jess; son William Jr. (Veronica), daughters Marissa and Kayla; nieces and nephews in White Rock BC; Aunt Joyce and Uncle Earl; numerous friends. William (Bill) was employed with the Canadian National Railway and Via Rail in the later part of his railway career for a combined service of 34 years. One of William's (Bill's) favourite past times was working with wood. During his life he built several cedar decks, china cabinets, storage cupboards, fences and finished basements etc. He was always one to offer a helping hand when called upon by friends or family. William (Bill) played soccer, swam, cycled, jogged and also had a daily exercise routine at the St. James Civic Centre. William (Bill) enjoyed his yearly vacation to Maui, Hawaii with his wife and soul mate, May. William (Bill) also enjoyed many camping trips and excursions with his trailer and could be found at Falcon Lake, which was one of his favourite spots. A service in honour of William (Bill's) life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Monday, May 29, 2006 at 12:30 p.m. with reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will follow at a later date. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca.
