HELEN KROL (nee TRACZ) 1916 2006 A mother holds her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Krol of Calgary, at the Beverly Centre, Lake Midnapore on Monday, May 22, 2006 at the age of 90 years. Helen was an accomplished Pharmacist. She was one of the first women to graduate from Pharmacy at the University of Manitoba and dedicated many years of her life to her profession in both Winnipeg, MB and Montreal, QC. Helen had special memories of visiting Toronto, ON to share with her niece and family the art of perogy making. She also fondly remembered spending many summers at Hockey Haven with David and Victor, as well as hosting many Sunday family dinners. Everyone who knew and loved Helen will sadly miss her kind and gentle nature, her compassion, understanding, generosity and commitment to her family. We were blessed to have Helen hold our hands for so many impressionable years and we have wonderful memories to hold in our hearts forever. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her only son and daughter-in-law David and Linda Krol; her three grandchildren, Bradley, Andrea and Bryan. Helen will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Joseph Warecki; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1993 and her sister Oksana (Joseph) Cooper in 1979. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff at the Beverly Centre, Lake Midnapore, Calgary for their wonderful care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier with Brother Jorge Villegas, O.F.M., Cap. as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Helen's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
