WILLIAM SAMUEL MUNN (Staff Sergeant Bill) 1926 - 2006 Today we mourn the passing of our father, grandfather, husband and friend. Bill Munn was a farm boy from Brandon, who lost his dad at age 10. He always said, You can take the boy off the farm, but you can't take the farm out of the boy. He loved working for the RCMP, and was a member for 29+ years. (He could spot 'issue' socks across the room.) Bill loved animals, children and family. After the RCMP, he worked for the Manitoba Government as a sheriff's officer, a court clerk and a magistrate. He volunteered with the Anglican Church, Minor Hockey, Children's Aid and was there for anyone who needed a hand. In his recent years at Middlechurch Home, struggling with the ravages of Alzheimer's, he would light up at the sight of our children, dog visitors, or the resident goats and ducks. Bill is leaving us with the memories of his humour, sensitivity and kindness. Surviving to share our loss are wife Mary; sister Pat (George, PJ, Colleen); children, Bill (Elaine), Laurel and Pam (Karl); and grandchildren, Courtney, Morgan, Bronwyn, Ila and Arlo. He will also be remembered fondly by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. His sheltie Sporty will mourn with us. Arrangements have been made with Glen Eden Funeral Chapel for a quiet goodbye, a memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Society. Go in Peace, Pops. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolences at www.gleneden-mb.ca.
