Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEGGY (VIOLA) HAGEMIER 1910 - 2006 Peacefully on May 14, 2006 Peggy (Viola Jennie) Hagemier (nee Smither) went home to be with the Lord at the age of 95 at Extendicare/Oakview Place. She goes on to join husband Art Hagemier, son-in-law Herb Carlson and grandson-in-law Doug McAdam. Left to join her later are daughters Jean Carlson and Lois (Ray) Doerksen, granddaughters Brenda McAdam and Bonnie Carlson, grandsons Brad Carlson and Bob (Tina) Doerksen, great-grandchildren Lindsey, Brittany and Kier McAdam and Adam Carlson. She will also be missed by her adopted grandchildren Ward, Cheryl and Mitch McAdam. Gram was a strong and independent woman who shared that strength with all of us who were privileged to be part of her life. She survived Diphtheria, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis and the Great Depression. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Peggy married and raised her family here. Except for brief stays in warmer climates, she called Winnipeg home all of her life. We will miss you Gram but are glad you are finally at peace. We look forward to seeing you later. Peggy's family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Oakview Place for the excellent and compassionate care that they provided during Gram's stay. Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Ness Avenue Baptist Church, 2700 Ness Ave. Pastor Bob Shepansky officiating.
