TANIA ZUBERT A gentle soul has been called home. Tania passed away peacefully on May 24, 2006. She was born June 24, 1912 and is survived by six children, Agathe (Bill), Arthur (Margaret), Erwin (Laurie), Edwin (Sylvia), Alma (Karl), Albert (Mary); one son-in-law Rolf Sager; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister in Germany; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Darius (1980), one son in infancy Arnold (1950), one daughter Donna (2000) and 11 brothers and sisters. She treasured all the special moments of family gatherings over the years. Her everlasting gift to her family was not only her love, caring and generosity but also her concern for their well being. Oma, as she was so lovingly known by all, will be remembered as an unfailing warm and kind person whose faith was an integral part of her life. She was a very special example in so many ways. Her prayers always included family and friends. When needed, no matter what our concerns were, she always had solid advice for us. We will keep in our hearts the many things she has taught us in life, mainly to love unconditionally, to forgive and to keep peace in our family. We are thankful to have had her for as long as we did. We love her dearly and will miss her terribly. A special thanks to her friends at Donwood West, especially Mary, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Costa, Doreen and Martha for watching over her and stopping by to see her. Oma knows that she was truly loved by you all. Also a special thanks to the care givers of Ward 3 South, of the Grace Hospital, who so tenderly looked after her and the home care providers who daily were there for her needs. We also wish to thank the staff on the second floor of Oakview Place for the care she received during her brief stay there. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Ave. Viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment in Brookside Cemetery.
