HELEN MOROZ Surrounded by the love of her family, Helen Moroz peacefully passed away on May 25, 2006. She will be sadly missed by her husband Mike; and children, Chris (Ivan) Seneshen, Darlene Kowalchuk, Sandi (Rick) Kosowan; grandchildren Kim (Paul) Prendergast, Kelly (Roger) Gosselin; great-grandchild Owen Prendergast; sisters, Estelle Horzempa and Nell Ciembrenowicz; sisters-in-law, Pearl Troski, Jean Tarnowski and Teenie Olyarnick. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews but will be especially missed by those with whom she had a special bond. Helen was predeceased by her parents Sophia and Andrew; brothers, Joe, John and Walter; sisters, Olga, Jean and Wanda, and son-in-law Bill Kowalchuk. Helen was a woman of strong faith and was an active member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church and was a 49 year member of the U.C. Women's League. She was a very caring person who loved to volunteer her time and service. Helen was born in Winnipeg on August 10, 1924 and lived in Malonton in her early years. She married Mike on February 10, 1945 and they enjoyed 61 wonderful years of marriage. They farmed in Fraserwood until 1956 when they moved to Winnipeg where they lovingly raised their family. She also worked as a caterer and later at Wallingford Press until her retirement. She loved to travel and spent many happy days travelling in the R.V. She had a tremendous spirit and strong will which enabled her to embrace each day to the fullest. Family and friends were of utmost importance to her. We were most amazed by her final days she worried about those of us tending to her, putting her own pain and suffering aside to nurture and love us. Her positive attitude remained until the end, as she still made us smile and laugh with her. Sincere thanks to the many medical staff for giving us an extra five years of Helen's presence. Special thanks to her Home Care workers and the staff at H.S.C. Emergency, SICU and D5 for their care and compassion. The prayers and support of the many concerned relatives and friends are deeply appreciated. Prayers will be said on Sunday, May 28, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to a charity of your choice.
