ROBERT (BOB) J. MORRIS It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Bob on Saturday, May 27, 2006. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Jeannine (nee Gosselin) Morris and fondly remembered by his brother Thomas, sister-in-law Isobel and his two nieces Ashley and Leanne and many other relatives and friends in Scotland; his children Colin Morris and Leslie Bell. He will also be missed by his step-children, Claude Ricard, Suzanne (Claude) Lavallée, Jacqueline Keller, Marc (Mona) Moins; his step-grandchildren, Laura and Jeffrey; Adam; Justin, Elise and Mélanie; Michelle and Sarah; Vanessa, Madison and Annika and step-great-granddaughter Maya. Bob was predeceased by his parents James and Elizabeth and step-son Julien Ricard. Bob was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1944. He spent his formative years in Dumfermline, Scotland. He was a police constable with The Fife Constabulary in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1970. He continued his law enforcement career with the Winnipeg Police Service until 1980. He briefly worked for Canada Safeway and joined TransX Trucking until his retirement in 2004. Bob volunteered many hours and was involved in numerous activities of the Eagles Aeries 3870. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 90. Bob recently found a new interest and volunteered his time for the Victoria Hospital Lifeline. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Church, 80 St. Pierre St. Interment will follow at the St. Norbert Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if you so desire, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
