SOPHIE HRYNEWICH It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, whose long life of pain on this earth ended peacefully at the age of 101 on Sunday, May 28, 2006. Sophie was predeceased by her husband John; parents Nick and Katherine Szun; son-in-law Steve Zabudney; brothers, Stanley, Andrew, Walter, Nick, August, Steven; sister-in-law Sophie Szun; aunt Sophie Matwichuk and cousins, Zenon Matwichuk and Mike Szun. Sophie will be sadly missed by her daughter Leshia Zabudney; son Orest Hrynewich; grandchildren, Sandra (Glen) Kantyluk, John Zabudney (Barbara); great-grandchildren, Brittany, Steven and Alexa; sister Anne Burbank and her children; sister-in-law Anne Szun; nephews, Norman Szun (Louise) and their three children, Nick Szun (Doriea), Eugene Szun (Judy) and their son Paul, Daniel Szun (Gloria) and sons, Christopher and Daniel Jr.; niece Katherine Wright (Larry); cousin Nesia (Myron) and daughter Marta Kulczyckyi, Marie Matwichuk and her children, Paul and George; great-niece Sonia (Chris) Shellito. She will also be missed by her friends, Olga Werbicki, Mrs. H. Kuzmychuk, Ray and Doreen Cosintino, Abe and Tony Berenhaut who always remembered her. Special thanks are extended to Dr. D. Tsang and all the home care workers who offered her love and support during her illness so that she was able to spend most of her old age at home. When she was unable to be at home, thank you also to all the nurses and staff at Holy Family Nursing Home who showered her with love and affection and made her last days as comfortable as possible. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 9:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Building Fund. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
