PETER KRYSOWATY
Born: Sep 15, 1927
Date of Passing: May 27, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER KRYSOWATY September 15, 1927 - May 27, 2006 Peacefully, late Saturday evening, Peter lost his battle with cancer. He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters, Debbie (Bill) and Terri (Danielle); and granddaughter Nina. In addition to his children, Peter is also survived by his brothers, Mike and Nick (Joyce); and sisters, Sophie, Jean and Anne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1984; his parents Harry and Katrina; and brothers, Steve, Fred, Walter and Alex. Peter was born near Ituna, SK. He grew up on the farm and often talked about re-visiting his homestead. As a young adult, Peter's aptitude for all things mechanical got him a job as a heavy equipment mechanic. This took him to northern communities in Manitoba and Ontario and to the Northwest Territories where he worked on DEW-line equipment. Later he worked for BACM in their Winnipeg shops. After retiring, Peter's knowledge of machines made him the neighbourhood Mr. Fix It. There wasn't a lawnmower, snowblower, bicycle or appliance that he couldn't get working properly. He was quite clever at creating hybrid models from various machines which no longer worked. Peter also enjoyed working in his garden, going to garage sales, and making wine. Peter was a hard working man who enjoyed the simple things in life, and was known for his generosity with family and friends. He resided in Transcona for over 40 years where he always felt support and friendship from his close neighbours. Friends and family are invited to take a moment today to reflect and remember their times with Peter. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with his wishes, the family has requested a private ceremony. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to the charity of their choice. Vichnaya Pam'yat Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

Peter married my cousin Margaret, we had been close in earlier years but as time passed we lost touch. When she passed in 54 I was in the hospital so couldn’t attend. I have lost track of everyone. Please if you see this contact me. My mom was Auntie Hilda's sister. So sorry to be finding this so late. - Posted by: Vivian Mcculloch (Cousin) on: Jun 24, 2024
