MAREK STANISLAW KRAWCZYK It is with great sadness we announce the passing of my son, our brother, uncle, grandson, cousin and friend on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the age of 35 years. His memory will always be cherished by his mother Maria Jilani; sister Monika Dainard (Chris); brother Tommy Jilani (Lissette); niece Maribelle Jilani, nephew Jakob Dainard; grandmother Henryka Dlugosz; great-aunts, Leokadia Czurak and Mary Kitras and many uncles, aunts and cousins across Canada and Poland. Marek was born in Winnipeg on December 26, 1970. He grew up in Selkirk and enjoyed fishing and hockey. He graduated from Lord Selkirk Comprehensive High School in 1990. After completing his high school diploma, he worked at various restaurants across the city. His love of sports continued in adulthood to include basketball and baseball. He also enjoyed reading and watching movies. He was predeceased by his father Bogdan Krawczyk; grandfather Stanislaw Dlugosz; grandparents, Stefan and Sabina Krawczyk; and great-uncle Walter Czurak, Prayers with a viewing will be on Monday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. and will be followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
