VERNA ISABEL PHILLIPS After a life filled with love and laughter and shared with family, friends, co-workers and care-givers, Verna Isabel Phillips completed her journey on earth on June 1, 2006. In her early adult life Verna joined the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary and was known as Sister Maria Magdalena. She left the Order in 1958. After having lived in British Columbia and Ontario she returned to St. Boniface as a Medical Records Librarian at the Victoria General Hospital. Verna was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Hazel (Reid) Phillips of Isabella Manitoba, siblings George, Thelma, Ted and Merle, and Godparents Pitoune and Degre Deschambault. She is survived by her brother Russ (Calgary), sister Elsie (Thunder Bay), sister-in-law Odile (Winnipeg), numerous nieces, nephews and the Deschambault family. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Boniface Cathedral on Wednesday June 7 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bonin officiating. Interment will take place the following day at Isabella MB.
