COLIN JOHNSTON August 20, 1974 - June 1, 2006 Suddenly on Thursday, June 1 our dearest Colin passed away at the very tender age of 31. Left to love and cherish his memory forever are his daughter, Marissa; his parents Patsy and Philip; his brothers, Kris (Pam) and Jasun; his aunties, Faye (Rene), Carol (Ethan), Elaine (Brian), Nancy, Judy, and uncles Craig (Malie) and Buddy. His cousins Traci, Jamie, Seana, Amanda, Melissa, Chrissy, Natasha, Ariana, Bobby (Dominique), Crystal, Cathy, Marnie, Corey. His dearest friends Kim, his little Buddy Mason, Desmond, Keith, Randy, and Bob. Also many more aunties, uncles, and cousins from extended family and friendships everywhere. Colin was predeceased by his paternal father Billy and by his Memere and Pepere Florence and Lawrence, his Uncles Eddy and Donald also his Gramma Johnston. Colin came into this world fighting for his life and weighing in at 2 lbs 2 oz on August 20, 1974. So tiny and so strong but grew up to be so handsome and tall with a radiating personality that lit up any room that he walked into. His heart was so big it had room for everyone, especially if they were rocking to AC/DC with him. His love for music was limitless (his air guitar and drums definitely kept him in super shape). Colin was raised in Valley Gardens and graduated from Kildonan East. He was so proud of himself and we were all so proud of him His motto was always accept me for who I am! Life wasn't easy for Colin, there were many peaks and valleys, but with his infectious sense of humour he made his world and ours a much better place to be in. We will miss you so much Colin. One of the greatest highlights was when his darling baby daughter Marissa came into his world. He loved her so dearly! You always knew when Colin was around because you'd get the 20 questions and they had to be answered. Body building with his pal Desmond kept them out of trouble for the most part. His drive, determination and perseverance through this past year when he was not well he never complained and always listened and helped his friends and family. He was always there for all us around him. He could give the greatest and longest bear hug, when we got one, we felt it. He packed 90 years into his short 31 years. A celebration for his life will be held at Russell Funeral Home in Beausejour, MB, on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. and any friends and family who wish to say a few words are welcome to do so. Should any family and friends wish, donations can be made to a trust fund that will be set up for Colin's daughter Marissa, please send to Box 169, Seven Sisters Falls, MB, R0E 1Y0. Rest now our darling son, you deserve it! Russell Funeral Homes Ltd. Crematorium 437 Park Avenue West. Beausejour, MB 268-2263
