JEANNE LOUISE HUYGHE (nee PAUWELS) March 18, 1916 - June 3, 2006 Peacefully in her sleep, in her 91st year, God called Jeanne home. A special mother who raised her two nieces Linda and Marilyn as her own daughters. Jeanne leaves to cherish her memory Linda and her husband Rick Jansen, and two granddaughters Sandra and Crystal Jansen; sister-in-law Celine Pauwels and her son-in-law Tom Watson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by husband Rene, daughter Marilyn and her baby Elisa, brother Albert (Mary) Pauwels. Grandma loved spending weekends at the lake with her family. In her younger years, Jeanne worked at Eaton's until she became a mother to Linda and Marilyn. She also enjoyed travelling, especially her trip to Belgium where her parents were born. Her compassionate ways and gentle kindness brought her many friends. The family would like to thank the Foyer Valade and all of their staff for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10 - 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Viewing will take place at 1:30 p.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. And the Lord said, When you see only one set of foot prints, it was then that I carried you. Rest in peace Grandma, We love you.
