MARY SERKES (nee EZEWSKI) On Thursday, June 1, 2006 Mary Serkes passed away at the Charleswood Care Centre at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on August 31, 1976. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her son Rudy (Pearl); grandchildren Cindy Bale and husband Doug, Robert, Terry, Randy and wife Kimberly; great-grandchildren Travis and Curtis Bale and Jessica Serkes; sisters Nettie Powzun and Rose Chamberland, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was born and raised in Silver, MB, moving to Winnipeg in 1934 upon her marriage to Joseph. She was a very generous and caring person always ready to lend a helping hand. Mary enjoyed tending to her beautiful geraniums and raising her orphaned cats. The family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre for their compassionate care of Mary for the last 9 years. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, with interment following in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Wpg, MB R3C 4G2. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
