LOIS ELLEN HUPE (nee Heieie) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lois, beloved wife of Rheal (Ray), peacefully at the Concordia Hospital on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the age of 57 years. Lois will be greatly missed by her mother Edith, daughter Lynne, grandsons Daniel and Darian, brothers Barry (Dale), Bill (Louann), sister Diane Preece (John), sisters-in-law Freda McNab, Stella Oldham (Bob), Emma Hupe brothers-in-law Armand (Rhea), Robert (Helen), as well as many nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her father Lorne, and mother-in-law Veronique, brothers Roland and Gerry. Lois was born in Winnipeg on August 3, 1948. She had a great love of animals, be it the pets she and Ray enjoyed together over the years, or her families various pets. She also loved the little bunnies that would come into their yard and often left out carrots for them to nibble on. She had a great love of being outside in the summer with the sun warming her face during the day or with the yard and deck lit up in the evening. She also took great comfort from a little fire in the back yard and roasting marshmallows. The family would like to express many thanks to Dr. Johnson and Dr. Alvi for their constant care, as well as all of the wonderful staff at Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Lois' life will take place at Wheeler Funeral Chapel at 211 Regent Avenue (Transcona) Winnipeg with Bishop Doug Englot officiating, on Friday June 9 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association.
