Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN NECHWEDIUK (Bialas) April 4, 1920 - June 4, 2006 It is with love and great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Jean Nechwediuk of Sandy Lake, MB on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at the Minnedosa Health Centre at the age of 86 years. She was predeceased by her husband Mike on May 25, 1988; parents, John (1967) and Annie (Tutkaluk) (1990) Bialas; brothers, Nick (1995) and Mike (1991) and stillborn twin brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Marion Tremblay of Brandon and son Martin (Leona) Nechwediuk of Winnipeg; five grandchildren, David (Christie), Michelle, Shannon (Garnet), Karen (Jeremy) and Craig (Jodi); and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jayelle, Brendan, Brynn, Caelan, Nathan, Ava; one sister Sophie (Mike) Jawa of Onanole; two brothers, Ted (Marlene) Bialas of Brandon, Carl (Marlene) Bialas of Minnedosa; sisters-in-law, Helen Bialas of Onanole, Teenie Bialas of Erickson and Sophia Nechwediuk in Sandy Lake; one brother-in-law Paul (Cecelia) Horitchie of Rossburn; one Aunt Frances Brodie of Shoal Lake,; one Uncle Tony (Phyllis) Tutkaluk of Shoal Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mom will always be remembered for her caring and compassionate nature. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness 11 Timothy 4:7-8. Mom was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League for over 40 years, the church sisterhood, the Sandy Lake Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Sandy Lake Drop-in Centre. Thank-you to Dr. Bright and the wonderful staff of the Minnedosa Health Centre, and to all the friends and family for their care and compassion. Thank-you to all the staff at the Sandy Lake Nursing Home for the last three years that Mom spent there. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Sandy Lake Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery Fund. Prayers will be sung on Thursday evening, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Sandy Lake. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday morning, June 9 at 10:00 a.m., also in the church, with Rev. Emil Kardasinec officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
