Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWENDY LOU MARIE SHMON (nee DAIGNAULT) It is with heartfelt sadness, that we announce the sudden passing on June 5, 2006, of our beloved Wendy, aged 44 years, of Winnipeg. Left to forever cherish her memory is her loving husband and best friend of more than 25 years, Tom. Also left to cherish her unselfish love are her children, Kevin (Charmayne), Wade and Kailea and her granddaughter Nevaeh, mother-in-law Emily Shmon; brothers, Darren (Nancy), Terry (DeAnn); brother-in-law Kirk (Sue); as well as her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Wendy was predeceased by her mother Rose, father Ted, one sister and father-in-law Ernie Shmon. Wendy was born on June 20, 1961 in Roseau, MN, the eldest of three children. At an early age her family moved to Winnipeg. While attending high school Wendy met and fell in love with Tom Shmon. They were married soon afterward and started their family together. Her greatest joy was Tom and her children. Recently, Wendy and Tom became grandparents for the first time. Wendy was thrilled to be a grandmother and cherished the time she spent with Nevaeh. Through the years Wendy and Tom remained inseparable through life's challenges and always handled any situation with strength and fairness. Her devotion to family and friends will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. Cremation has taken place, a memorial service and celebration of Wendy's life will be held on Friday, June 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home, with a reception for family and friends to follow. If family and friends so desire, contributions may be made in Wendy's memory to Winnipeg Harvest at the funeral home.
