ALFRED (FRED) MIS 1914 - 2006 Alfred Mis passed away at the Sunnybank Centre in Oliver, BC on June 1, 2006 at the age of 92 years. Alfred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Zofia and three sons, Andrew, Joseph and John. He is also survived by his sister Genowefa and was predeceased by his sister Krystyna and brother Adolf. Alfred was born in Boryslaw, Poland on March 19, 1914 and emigrated to Canada in 1947. He worked at the St. Amant Centre in Winnipeg from 1948 to 1978 as a meat cook and chef. In 1978 the family moved to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia where Alfred lived out his retirement. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sunnybank Centre for their kindness and care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, with Rosary beginning at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street in West St. Paul. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of their choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
