GORDON KEITH Gordon Keith passed away peacefully in Hospice House surrounded by those whom he loved and who loved him on May 20, 2006 at the age of 82 years. Gord was proud to be a member of the #1 Legion in Winnipeg, the first Legion in Canada. Sometime after moving to Vernon in 1995 he had to give up his Winnipeg membership to join the #25 Branch in Vernon. Gord was a most generous man who supported many charities and would lend a hand to those who were down on their luck. Gord is survived by his loving family, wife Betty; daughter Leah (Meir) Ghelfenstein, Israel; son Alan (Ronit) Keith, Toronto; four stepdaughters, Connie, Susan, Pam, Cathy and their families; grandson Hunter; sister Marion Reed, Winnipeg; three brothers, Bill (Jean) Keith, Yuma, Arizona, Harry (Marlene) Keith, Sooke, BC; nieces, nephews and extended family. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his name may give to the Vernon Hospice Society, the S.P.C.A. or to the charity of your choice. As requested by Gord, no service will be held. His ashes will be taken home to Winnipeg.
