Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE NICOL SINCLAIR Born November 16, 1932 at home in Winnipeg, passed away June 6, 2006 in St. Boniface Hospital. Predeceased by parents, Donald and Catherine; brothers, Don, Ron and Archie; sisters, Isabella Eckstein and Helen Barr. Survived by sisters, Zena Forsythe and Cathy Whitman; daughters, Christine Green, Jessie Sinclair, Betty Ann Sinclair; sons, Glenn Sinclair and David Sinclair (Bonnie); grand-children, Alison, Angela, Kelly, Ashley, Steven; great-grandchildren, Elijha and Elora; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, too many to name, you know who you are! We cannot forget to name his five cats; Irene and Crocus went on ahead. Left to mourn the loss of their father's limitless love are Joey, Tika and Solo Vino. George attended St. John's, where he was active in many sports. Through C.A.C.S., he played hockey with his many lifelong friends. Golfing and curling were later on, as his dear friend Sandy Cross cheered him on. As a young married man, George joined the Winnipeg Police Force in 1953 where he stayed until 1967. His father Donald, and brother Don, were Winnipeg police officers too. George went on to other career interests, mainly in sales and marketing. Dad loved life. He enjoyed his cottage at Grindstone, gambling, travel, sports, beautiful women, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his cats of course! He loved those cats so much, they drove him to write poetry. Love is a many splendoured thing! There is no service at Dad's request. However, family and friends are invited to an Open House at his family home on Friday, June 9 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Many thanks to Dr. Kevin Coates and all the kind staff at St. Boniface Hospital who helped ease Dad's pain during his last few weeks. No flowers at the family's request, however, any donations made to the SPCA, the Hearing Foundation, or St. Boniface Hospital, on his behalf would be greatly appreciated.
