FLORENCE WALKER (nee LITOWITZ) It is with deep regret we announce the sudden passing of Florence Walker on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at her residence at the age of 75 years. She will be greatly missed and remembered by her family. Florence is survived by her sister Joan and brothers, Albert, Mark (Dodie) and Bruce (Tamiko), numerous nieces and nephews, two grandnieces and grandnephews as well as family and friends. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Litowitz, stepmother Hazel Litowitz, brother Ernie and sister-in-law Cathy. Florence spent most of her career as a dental hygienist. She was a very faithful and hardworking employee. Over the years she was tireless with her family when it came to their dental hygiene. Florence adored her nephews and nieces and when she was well, loved to visit. Up until her illness, she loved gardening (flowers in particular), knitting, cross stitching, canning, cooking and baking. A service of remembrance will be held Monday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, Manitoba at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
