Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIEN VIVIEN ZABROCKY (nee VERCAIGNE) Marien Vivien Zabrocky recently passed away at her home in Winnipeg. She was born on February 14, 1938 to the late Katherine and Gerald Vercaigne. Marien grew up in St. Boniface and attended Holy Cross School. It was at her first job with the Winnipeg Free Press that she met and later married Richard. Marien cared for Dick throughout his illness with MS until his death in 1982. While caring for Dick, Marien kept her full time job at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre. She retired from the HSC in 1984 and devoted most of her time to caring for her mother Katherine. Marien is survived by her brother Gerry and his wife Rosemary along with their four children; nine grand-nieces and nephews; nephew Tommy Brock. She will be sadly missed by those who knew her. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 12 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Interment will follow in the Saint Boniface Sacred Heart Cemetery with her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
