ARLENE FERGUSON (nee FRASER) Peacefully on June 9, 2006 after a courageous five year battle with Multiple System Atrophy, Arlene passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital. Thanks to the staff of the I.C.U. and Unit 5, 3rd floor who performed their duties with competence and caring and made her passing easier for all. Arlene was a special lady who was truly interested in people and that, combined with an enormous amount of empathy, created many dear friends. She was always the first to notice if a friend was wearing something different or new. She never broke a confidence and her ability to remember birthdays and anniversaries was amazing. Arlene enjoyed any and all get-togethers with family and friends, especially those including children. She was happiest when those around her were happy. She was so proud of her daughter and her son and his family and never missed a chance to show pictures of them and her grandson. Arlene is survived by and will be forever cherished by her husband Jack; daughter Darcie; son Ryan (Yolanda) and their son Mateo. Also surviving are her parents, Harold and Ethel Fraser; sister Ramona Durrant (Maurice); brothers, Gregory (Shirley), Kerry (Donna), and Gordon (Kim) and many other relatives and friends. A special thanks goes to members of the Out-of-Towners , the HED Alumni , and the Wieners and Beans groups for, with much anticipation and story retelling, their regular visits lasted much longer than just a few hours for Arlene. God bless you all. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a service to be held on June 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Parish, 710 Roanoke St. in Transcona. HE is getting a good one. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
