CAROL MASLOW (nee Lord) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Maslow (née Lord) on June 10, 2006. Mom was 68 years old. She passed away peacefully, in Victoria General Hospital I.C.U., following a lengthy and courageous fight against cancer. Carol, Mom, Grandmère will be sadly missed, lovingly remembered and always in our hearts. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Harvey Maslow; daughters, Shelley (Brent) and Linda; grandchildren, Sabrina, Sara and Dawson; siblings, Dolly, Gert, Kenny, Roma, Lucille, Roger, Paul, Audrey, Rose-Marie and Eugene . Carol was predeceased by her parents, Geneviève and Donat Lord; stepfather Emile; Durand; brothers, Don, Guy, Hector (Joe) and Andy. Mom always believed there was good in everyone. She loved getting together with family and friends. She and Dad were quite the jive couple in their younger days. Grandmère's grandchildren gave her many happy moments as well as the strength to continue to fight. Mom loved Spring because of her passion for gardening. Sewing and collecting lovely things were also a few of Mom's passions. Mom and Dad's house is a statement of the love and commitment she had for everyone's happiness and her appreciation for beauty. From her heart collections to her beautiful gardens all around the house to her sewing room full of projects yet to be completed . . . Mom always had family and friends in mind. A celebration of Carol's life will be held on Friday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Her cremated remains will be interred at Thomson In The Park in the Garden of Serenity. Following the interment there will be a gathering of friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3870 in St. Norbert, 3459 Pembina Hwy. Thank you to the incredible staff in Victoria General I.C.U. who went above and beyond to make Mom's final days as comfortable as possible. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Victoria General Hospital I.C.U., The Children's Wish Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba. We will miss our mom. We believe she is now at peace among her loved ones in the garden of angels in the sky. We love you, Mom!
