Doerksen, aged 85 years of Morden, formerly of Altona, went to his eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Eva Doerksen (nee Klippenstein) of Morden; four daughters, Elaine Catellier of Winnipeg, Carol and Rick Shindel of Petersfield, Pearl Doerksen and Will Penner of Calgary, AB, Joyce and John Robinson of Winnipeg; one son, Bob and Anne Doerksen of Altona; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Wahl of Winnipeg and one brother, Bernie and Cathy Doerksen of Winnipeg. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Chapel, 1050 Thornhill St., Morden on Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00-9:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at Morden Alliance Church at 181 15th St. in Morden on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Morris Vincent and Jake Buhler officiating. Interment will be held at Chapel Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Peter's memory to either Parkinson Society of Manitoba, 302 171 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1M4 or Tabor Home Memorial Foundation, 230 9th St. South, Morden, MB, R6M 1Y3.
