CAROL JOY ARCHER (nee ORPIN) Carol passed away on June 11, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. She is survived by her loving husband Gordon; her father Ernie Orpin (Betty McCombe); sister Sharon Taylor (Jack); nephew Jeffrey; daughter Sharon Helm (Nick) and family, numerous aunts and uncles and many cousins. She was predeceased by her mother May (Trumbley) and stepmother Helen (Crawford). Carol was born on June 5, 1953 in Winnipeg. She attended Ralph Maybank and General Byng schools and Vincent Massey Collegiate. She completed a Business Administration course at Red River College and continued on with courses in Property Management. She worked for many years as a Property Manager and most recently as project accountant with Colliers Pratt McGarry. Carol enjoyed her weekends and holidays at Spruce Sands and Beausejour. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her two cats, Blackie and Peanut. She was an active member of the Eagles Club No. 3360 and for many years acted as treasurer. She has always maintained a close relationship with her school friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapel, Broadway and Sherbrook at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15.
