Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAPHAEL KABANGO It is with deep sadness that the family and friends of Raphael Kabango announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 13, 2006. Raphael is survived by his beloved children, son Dominick (age 9), daughter Stephanie (age 7), Elizabeth Servellon, mother of his children, as well as his beloved sister Theresa and brother Claver in Rwanda. Raphael was predeceased by his brother John in 2005, his sister Sara in 2004 and his parents. Raphael will always be remembered as a loving father. Everything was special when it had to do with his children. He was so proud of them and loved them in a way that was seen and felt by everyone around him. For many years Raphael was a frontline person working reception at Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council (Welcome Place). There he welcomed newcomers from all over the world. He had an ease with people and a sense of humour appreciated by all who knew him. For his co-workers, he will be missed for his wit, his friendly demeanor, his easy-going nature and always his smile. Raphael did not like borders, he had many friends in the African community, and friends from everywhere, treating everyone the same no matter who they were or where they came from. His memory will be cherished and he will remain a part of all those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006 between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME, 220 Hespeler Ave. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 61 Picardy Place.
