MABEL IRENE BAUDER (nee WRIGHT) It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster-grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law and friend on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 91 years. She was born and raised in the Fisherton area until moving to Winnipeg to raise her family. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, Christine and James Wright and brother John. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, Maxine, Joyce (Ken), David (Evelyn) and Sharon; and her extended family Shona (Jim), Michael (Janette) and Dean (Barb). She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy (Charles), Frances (Ray) and Eileen (Hugh); brothers, James (Sonny), Robert (Bud) and Wilfred (Verna); many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mom held a special place in her heart for her special foster-grandchildren, Joey and Farrah Everett and her Little Joey. Mom enjoyed her working years employed with the Gordon Hotels until her retirement. (Mom never really did retire.) She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed playing cards and would give you a run for your money in checkers and crib. Mom enjoyed many summers with her family, including her sister Dorothy, at Grand Marais. She enjoyed when anyone stopped by for a chat and a cup of tea. Her life was devoted to any children that passed through her life. The family would like to thank all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Special thanks to Mom's many neighbours that were always there to help out. Mom will be especially missed by her best friend, daughter Sharon, who dedicated her life to looking after Mom. We love you Mom Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Interment Brookside Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
