RONALD MURRAY BOWERY March 3, 1930 - June 15, 2006 It is with extreme sorrow that we must announce the sudden and tragic passing of Ronald (Ron) Murray Bowery, beloved husband of 54 years to Maureen (Sammie) Bowery. Also left to mourn his passing are his adored children, Rick (Roseanne) Bowery, Heather Perkins, Tracey Harder (Crawford Parrott); his grandchildren of which he was so proud, Jen (Tavis) Bodnarchuk, Lindsay Horsman (Kris Edwards), Sarah Bowery, Jesse Parrott, Shane Bowery, Cody Parrott; his very dear cousins, Allan Reid, Ross Wilson and Diane Glenday; his many cherished second and third cousins and numerous close friends. Ron was especially proud to have been a member of the Scottish Rite and Khartum Temple Shriners, Drum Bugle Corps. In his later years, he spent most of his free time golfing and took great joy in being involved with the Labatt Alumni Golfers and in his last year, serving as the President of the Manitoba Seniors Golf Association. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. D. Haiart and the nursing staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital for their kindness and care in the last days of Ron's life and to Dr. Frank Albi for his care and friendship over the many years. According to Ron's wishes, cremation has already taken place. There will be a celebration of Ron's life, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22 to take place at Thomson in the Park Funeral Home, located at 1291 McGillvray Blvd. Happy Father's Day Dad, we will cherish all that you taught us and the great love and care that you always gave, so unselfishly. In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully appreciate that donations be made to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
