HENRY BENDER Henry passed away June 15, 2006 at the Grace Hospice. Henry is survived by his sons Ric (Betty) and Bob (Shirley); daughter-in-law Diane; grandchildren, Bonni-Anne (Bob), Jae, Travis, Brooke (Paul), Thomas Jordan (T.J.) and Kylee. Also left to mourn are four great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Joseph, Kyulin and Emma. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Betty, Millie, Pat, Vera (Eddie), Wilfred (Niynie) and sister-in-law Olga. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Stella in 1991; his youngest son Tom in January 2006; his brother Clarence in 1988 and his brother-in-law Harry in 2005. Henry was born August 18, 1923 in Halloniquist, SK, the eldest son of Henry Bender and Emilia Kramer. He worked at Dominion Bridge for 50 years retiring in 1988. Henry started at the tender age of 15 as a bolt assembler and completed his career as a plant superintendent. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Program for their loving care of our father, especially Chris, Diane and Jacques. His last week of life was spent at the Grace Hospice and we are grateful for the care he received. These are our father's words describing his life. To me, life has been the very best I had wonderful parents I have wonderful brothers and sisters I had a wonderful wife (the best) I have three wonderful sons I have three wonderful daughters-in-law I have six wonderful grandchildren I have four wonderful great-grandchildren I always had and still have good friends I was richly blessed in my lifetime I can now stand back and say I had a wonderful life .
