WALTER (WALLY) ROMANOW March 7, 1934 - June 11, 2006 Peacefully on June 11, 2006 at our home, Walter passed away with his loving wife Lucille, son Jim and his beloved dog Ivan by his side. Walter is also survived by daughters, Anita (Jim) of Saskatoon and Tina (Tim) of Palmyra, PA; sisters, Ann and Helen of Kelowna and Mary of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Bobby, Danny, Nolyn, Brenen and Meisha and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and one sister. Wally enjoyed good times and discussions with friends at the local watering holes, outdoors, gardening, and last but not least older airplanes. He enjoyed the challenge of rebuilding and maintaining them. Airplanes were his pride and joy, thus taking him to various northern locations where he would meet old and new friends. In Yellowknife he met his buddies Santos and Lucia Scanante. Many thanks to the Selkirk Home Care workers and nurse Sandy for all her concerns. In keeping with Wally's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place later at their residence. Go Rest High on That Mountain.
