BERNADETTA (BEA) WILSON June 25, 1915 - June 15, 2006 With her family at her bedside, Bea Wilson passed away peacefully at the Stonewall Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, on June 15, 2006. Bea will be lovingly remembered by her husband Richard (Dick) of 41 years. Also left to cherish Aunt Bea's memory are her nieces, Arvella Matthews and husband Mel of Stonewall, Merle Bontron of Port Alberni, BC. Her great-nieces, Deborah Breton (Bob) of Pine Falls, Darlene Sangster (Wyman) of Stonewall, Pam Tardiff (Rick Neyedley) and Linda Smitzniuk (Mel) of Pine Falls and their families. Bea and Dick were proud veterans of the Second World War. Bea was enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a WAC at Shilo and Dick was a member of the Winnipeg Grenadiers and was a prisoner of war at Hong Kong. Following the war, Bea moved to Pine Falls and worked for the Hudson's Bay Company and then moved to Winnipeg and worked for the Government. She married Dick on November 14, 1964 and following their retirement, spent many nappy winters in Mesa, Arizona. A private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Pinniger and nursing staff at the Stonewall Hospital and also the Home Care staff and workers for the wonderful care, respect, kindness and support that they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bea's memory to CancerCare, MB, Room 1160-675 McDermott Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. TO THOSE I LOVE AND THOSE WHO LOVED ME When I am gone, release me, let me go, I have so many things to see and do, You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears, Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess, How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for all the love you each have shown, But now it's time I travelled on alone. So grieve for a while for me if grieve you must; Then let your grief be comforted by trust, It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near, And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say Welcome home . - Author Unknown Mackenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements. (204) 467-2525.
