KATHERINE LACOSKI March 2, 1916 - June 16, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved sister and friend, Katherine, on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Maples Personal Care Home, where she resided and received excellent care. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Nick on October 2, 1979; also her father William on December 20, 1983; her mother Dora on September 30, 1948 (Karpish) and brother Alex Karpish on November 4, 1984. She is survived by her brother Peter Karpish; sister Jean Harrisko; nieces, nephews and their spouses and children. Katherine enjoyed crocheting bedspreads and doilies; knitting many beautiful afghans, sewing, gardening (vegetables) and beautiful flowers - she loved her rose bushes the best. Her yard looked like a park. She enjoyed visiting her relatives and their children; she said they made her happy. Gone but not forgotten. Rest in peace. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20 from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with a Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made in Katherine's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C2.
