MARGARET EDIGER Margaret Ediger passed away peacefully on June 18, 2006 at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Woldemar, her son, Walter (Barb) Ediger, daughter Marlene (Bruce) Quesnel, son James Ediger and granddaughter, Angela and husband Herbert Quesnel-Strasser. She also is survived by her sister Eva Schellenberg, sister-in-laws; Sarah Falk and Mary Ediger and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Maria Falk, sisters Maria, Elizabeth, Tina, Anna, Susan, Sara, Nettie and Helen and brothers, David, Peter, Jake, John and Ben. Margaret Ediger (nee Falk) was born in Steinfeld, Ukraine on August 16, 1921. The Falk family moved to Canada in 1923 and farmed at Arnaud, Manitoba until 1932. They then moved to Westbourne, Manitoba where Margaret attended school. She was a very good student and loved playing softball. In 1942, she worked in Winnipeg doing housework and she also took sewing lessons. In 1946, she married Woldemar Ediger. They farmed in the High Bluff district, where she was a very busy woman helping with all the farm chores and raising three children. In 1959, the family moved to Portage la Prairie. Margaret managed to keep busy with housework, gardening and sewing clothes for her family. In 1967, the family moved to Winnipeg. Margaret worked in the dietary department at Grace Hospital until her retirement in 1986. Margaret loved to spend time with her children and granddaughter. She was a very special lady who always looked at other's needs before her own. She was loved by all that knew her. She will be sorely missed by her family. A special thanks to the staff at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home, for their excellent care while Mom resided there. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice in Margaret's memory would be appreciated. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson North of McIvor 338-0331
