PHILIP DAVID FOLEY With great sadness we announce that while vacationing in Newfoundland, Philip Foley passed away on Thursday June 15, 2006 in Grand Falls, NF just three days short of his 73rd birthday. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Beatrice and brother Alf. Phil will be lovingly remembered by his wife Pat, son Dave (Kelly) Foley along with his three grandchildren who he thought the world of: Kaitlin, Brett and Luke all of Portage la Prairie and his daughter Lori-Ann, sister Anne (Derek) Hamilton and sister-in-law Doreen Foley all of England and their families. He will also be dearly missed by Pat's family and close friends. Phil was born and raised in England and came to Canada in 1957. In 1964 he married Pat. Phil served in the Air force for 30 years where he received the Member of Military Merit. In his retirement he enjoyed his seven years as a volunteer in the Winnipeg Airport. Phil found great pleasure in spending time with his family and in travelling. Memorial service and celebration of Phil's life will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 21 at 2:30 p.m. led by Pastor Ray Willms. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Phil's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, in care of Catherine Newham - Portage Office, 103 Wilkinson Cres., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1A7 or to Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
