She was predeceased by her husband Henry, in 1991, her eldest son Nick, in 1986, and her son-in-law Leonard, in 1981. She married Henry in 1947 and in 1953, they, along with their first two children, immigrated to Canada where they settled in South Western Manitoba. They moved to Petersfield in 1970 and then to Clandeboye in 1976. After Henry passed away Wilma moved to Selkirk to the Lions Manor where she resided until her passing. Wilma's unconditional love for her family knew no bounds, and we all flourished under her guidance and care. Mom was a woman of great strength and pride and this helped her raise her nine children. To her final day her family was her purpose in life. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital, as well as her doctor and dear friend Dr. Graham Fuchs. A celebration of Wilma's life will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Wilma's name to The Heart Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
