Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE GURNIAK (nee POLLY GERTRUDE HORBAS) Peacefully, on June 19, 2006, Pauline Gurniak, aged 84, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Pauline was predeceased by her parents Marcella and Gregorius; husband Anthony; son Timothy Michael; brothers Ignace, Emil, John, Edward and Adolph; sisters Gertrude, Molly and Julia. Left to mourn are children, Patrick, Sandra, Richard, Stephanie, Robert (Carole), Gerald and Jacqueline (Brian); grandchildren, Shawn, Robyn (Terry), Christopher, Simone (Pete), Eric, Adam, Chelsey, Jessica, and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Cote, Bailey, Neavah, Hunter; brothers Gustav and Joseph and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Pauline was born on December 21, 1921, and grew up on a pioneer homestead in a Polish Catholic family near Libau, MB. Pauline resided on the farm into her mid twenties; then chose to move to Winnipeg, marry and raise a family. The family would like to thank those involved in caring for Pauline throughout the latter part of her life; health care staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and at The Luther Home, Pat who ate lunches with Pauline and prayed with her. Also thanks to the health care staff at Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre. In keeping with Pauline's wishes, Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Cremation will follow Prayers and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline's memory to The Luther Home.
