Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH DONALD HARRIS It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kenneth Donald Harris. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Wanda; daughters, Nicole, husband (Brent), Melanie, husband (Thom) and son Chad, wife (Caley). We will always cherish and remember our father as the genuine, gentle soul that he was. Although he was 6'4 and built like a line-backer, Dad was a kind man with a quiet manner about himself. He truly loved and enjoyed people from all walks of life and was blessed with an amazing sense of humour. You couldn't help but burst into laughter from his colourful stories and it seems he had a nickname for just about everyone he met. Dad adored his wife and children and in his younger days, you could find him on the creek in Petersfield taking his children and their friends waterskiing. He was an accomplished pilot and was especially proud of obtaining his American citizenship in 2002. Dad was a true maverick. Never content with the status quo, he was always putting his keen business savvy skills to the test. Over the past 40 years, Ken owned and operated several successful businesses in the trucking and transportation industry. Not even retirement could slow him down. Recently, he embarked on his biggest challenge. In 2003 he invented and patented a revolutionary product for the camping and recreational industry. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Ken's 65th birthday on January 11, 2007 at his home in Arizona. All family and friends are warmly invited.
